Canyon Diablo carves through the eastern portion of this high-plateau landscape, defining a region where water management is essential for survival. To the south, Reservation Tank provides a critical catchment point near the intersection of Babbitt Wash and the namesake Babbitt Wash Rd. The area is characterized by these deep incisions in the earth, including Locust Canyon and Youngs Canyon, which direct seasonal drainage toward the San Francisco Wash.
