Beyond the town center, the terrain is defined by glacial drainage patterns like Sevenmile Coulee and Dry Coulee, which cut through the surrounding uplands. Local history is preserved in landmarks such as School No 2 and the Dickey Cem located just west of the main townsite. In the southwest, Bone Hill rises near the banks of Bone Hill Creek, while several Gravel Pits indicate the local extractive industry during the post-war era of the Missouri River Basin development project.
