About this map

Republic Airport and a massive concentration of memorial grounds, including Pinelawn Cemetery and New Montefiore Cemetery, dominate the landscape at the Nassau and Suffolk border. The mid-1990s suburban expansion is evident in the dense street grids of South Farmingdale, North Massapequa, and Copiague, intersected by the heavy thoroughfares of the Southern State Parkway and Sunrise Highway. Along the coast, the topography softens into the wetlands of the Massapequa Preserve and the tidal channels of South Oyster Bay.
