Avra Valley defines the western half of this landscape, where the Aqueduct and Brawley Wash cut through the lowlands near Sandario Road. To the east, the terrain rises sharply into the Tucson Mountain Section of Saguaro National Park. This desert environment is marked by prominent summits such as Wasson Peak and Amole Peak, while the cultural history of the area is represented by several recreational and industrial sites.
