The Bruneau Desert landscape dominates this 2013 U.S. Geological Survey of Owyhee County, characterized by a series of prominent draws and expansive flats. Central to this section of Idaho is the eponymous Crows Nest landmark, which sits above the sloping terrain of Crows Nest Flat and the drainage of Crows Nest Draw. The topography is defined by the gradual descent of the high desert toward the northeast, where the seasonal waters of Sailor Cr carve through the sagebrush plains.
