Densmore occupies the southwestern corner of this survey, situated near the headwaters of the N Fork Solomon River. The landscape is defined by the sharp dendritic drainage patterns of several tributaries, including Skull Cr, Cactus Cr, and Sand Cr, which cut through the high plains of the Norton and Phillips County line. These waterways have carved a complex topography that historically dictated the placement of early roads and homesteads in the region.
