Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge serves as a critical desert oasis where the Mojave Desert and Amargosa Desert converge. This unique hydrogeological environment is defined by an extensive network of springs and seeps, including Fairbanks Spring, Soda Spring, and Indian Garden Spring. The water system supports significant wetland features such as Carson Marsh and Crystal Marsh, which stand in stark contrast to the surrounding arid terrain of the Devils Hole Hills.
