The Jarbidge Wild and Scenic River carves a deep path through this high desert plateau in Owyhee County. The landscape is defined by the dramatic descent into Jarbidge Canyon, where the main waterway meets the East Fork Jarbidge River. Most of the river corridor is protected within the Bruneau-Jarbidge Rivers Wilderness, a designation that preserves the complex network of drainages including Columbet Creek and Buck Creek.
