Dome Peak and the surrounding high-altitude terrain define this 2017 survey at the intersection of three Washington counties. The landscape is a high-elevation environment within the Mount Baker National Forest and Wenatchee National Forest. High peaks and ridges dominate the topography, including Sinister Peak, Sentinel Peak, and Old Guard Peak. The drainage patterns are clearly marked by high-altitude water bodies such as S Cascade Lake, Itswoot Lake, and White Rock Lakes, which feed into steep watercourses like the S Fork Cascade River and Sulphur Cr.
