2016 Map of Elkland

USGS Topo · Published 2016

About this map

Elkland and Osceola anchor the northern valley floor along the Cowanesque River in Tioga County, where the landscape transitions from riverine flats to the high ridges of Mutton Hill and Barney Hill. This 2016 survey documents a rural Pennsylvania landscape defined by its deep hollows and family-named landmarks. Numerous small cemeteries are found throughout the uplands, including Highland Cem overlooking the river and the Butler Hill Cem to the south, providing valuable points of reference for genealogists.
