Fields sits at the junction of Catlow Valley Rd and Fields-Denio Rd in this high-desert portion of Harney County. The landscape is dominated by the dramatic rise of Steens Mtn, where elevations climb toward The Peaks and Alvord Peak. This rugged geography creates a series of steep drainages including Road Canyon, Williams Canyon, and Babes Canyon, which eventually open into the broader Pueblo Valley to the east.
