Snake Butte dominates the northwestern horizon of this landscape in the Agency District of Blaine County, overlooking a network of drainage systems and coulees. The terrain is defined by the winding paths of Peoples Cr and the complex forks of the White Bear, including the N Br White Bear Cr and S Br White Bear Cr. These watercourses create a distinct pattern of erosion across the prairie, with Fifteenmile Cr cutting through the central portion of the quadrangle. Timber Ridge Rd provides the primary transit corridor through this section of the Fort Belknap Indian Reservation, crossing over the headwaters of Saint Johns Coulee. The map provides a detailed view of the natural topography of this high plains environment, where small variations in elevation dictate the flow of seasonal water towards the Milk River basin.
