Snake Butte rises prominently in the northwestern corner of this landscape within the Fort Belknap Reservation, overlooking a specialized Bison Grazing Field. This area is defined by its intricate drainage patterns, where the North Branch White Bear Creek and South Branch White Bear Creek converge before flowing eastward across the prairie. Further south, the terrain becomes more complex as it approaches the headwaters of Fifteenmile Creek and the southern reaches of Peoples Creek.
