Four Mound Prairie and the surrounding plateau terrain define this landscape on the border of Spokane and Stevens Counties. The area is marked by significant topographical relief, where the upland prairie drops sharply toward the winding course of Long Lake. This reservoir is flanked by several distinctive geological landmarks, including Eagle Rock and the steep walls of Corkscrew Canyon and Holmes Canyon to the north.
