The Grand Wash Cliffs form a massive geological break across this landscape in Mohave County, where the high elevation of the Grand Gulch Bench meets a complex network of drainage systems. Much of the terrain is managed under the Grand Canyon - Parashant National Monument and the Grand Wash Cliffs Wilderness, preserving a remote environment defined by deep incisions like Grand Gulch Canyon and Pigeon Canyon.
