The small unincorporated community of Jay Em anchors this high plains landscape in eastern Wyoming, centered around its Po and the nearby Forest Mound Cem. The terrain is defined by a complex network of intermittent drainages and draws that carve through the cattle country of Goshen County. Significant water features like Rawhide Cr and the winding Red Cloud Slough indicate the seasonal hydrology of the region, where water management and livestock ranching are the primary drivers of land use. A sparse grid of local routes, including Harris Ranch Rd and Prairie Ctr Rd, connects isolated ranchsteads across the township lines of T29N and T28N. The presence of Muskrat Cr and Sixmile Cr further illustrates the drainage patterns flowing toward the Platte River basin to the south.
