1977 Map of Hileman Draw

USGS Topo · Published 1978

About this map

The high plains of eastern Wyoming are defined here by a network of drainage basins and light infrastructure during the late 1970s. The landscape is dominated by the namesake Hileman Draw, which winds through the center of the sheet, eventually joined by Lowry Draw and the waters of J M Creek. Evidence of early energy development and ranching utility is prominent, with numerous features marked as Well, Wells, and Tank scattered across the terrain. A long Pipeline cuts through the western portion of the map, supported by a Pumping Sta. The crossing of the Niobrara Co / Goshen Co boundary highlights the rural nature of this region, while the small settlement at Little Tetons serves as a lone local landmark for researchers of this high-country prairie.
