Lakes of the North defines the residential and recreational character of this northern Michigan landscape, situated along the border of Antrim and Otsego counties. The development is anchored by the Lakes of the North Airport and a dense network of suburban-style roads like Alpine Valley Dr and Snowridge Trl. Outside of this central hub, the terrain is characterized by a series of glacial lakes including Lake Arrowhead, Lake Little Bear, and the smaller Pencil Lake. The hydrology is further defined by the Manistee River and Freshman Cr, which wind through the southern and western portions of the quadrangle. In the eastern sections, the landscape transitions toward more isolated water bodies like Lake Tecon and Lake Manuka, connected by rural corridors such as Old Alba Rd and Hayes Tower Rd.
