Mt Telemark and the upper reaches of the Saint Croix National Scenic Riverway define this glacial landscape in the northern Wisconsin woods. The terrain is characterized by a dense network of water bodies, ranging from the large Namekagon Reservoir and Lake Tahkodah to smaller, secluded basins like Filing Shed Lake and Hildebrand Lake. This 2015 survey shows a region managed for recreation and conservation, with the Chequamegon National Forest covering much of the eastern half of the map.
