The international border between Canada and the United States cuts through the Saint Lawrence Seaway in this study of the northern New York riverfront. The settlement of Louisville serves as the inland hub of the quadrangle, situated near the winding path of the Grass River and the local Saint Lawrence Cem. The landscape is defined by the significant hydrological engineering of Lake St. Lawrence, which surrounds a series of prominent elevations and islands including Wilson Hill, Wilson Hill Island, and Nichols Hill Island.
