About this map

Tumwater and its surrounding prairie landscapes dominate this 2013 survey of the southern Puget Sound region. The area is defined by a dense network of water bodies, including Black Lake in the northwest and Deep Lake situated within the borders of Millersylvania State Park. The landscape transitions from the developed corridors near the Olympia Regional Airport to the more open reaches of Bush Prairie and the ecological unique Rocky Prairie to the south.
