Nollesemic Lake sits at the heart of this Penobscot County landscape, surrounded by an intricate network of waterways and wetlands. The terrain is defined by the flow of Nollesemic Stream and the vast Quakish Bog to the northwest, while East Branch Lake and Mattamiscontis Lake anchor the southern reaches. These water bodies are connected by numerous smaller drainages including Comstock Brook, Mud Brook, and the distinctive Miner-Brook-Bog in the northeast corner.
