About this map

Onyx Peak and Onyx Summit dominate the high-elevation terrain of the San Bernardino National Forest on this 2018 survey. The landscape is defined by its complex network of seasonal drainages and named canyons, including the significant Big Morongo Canyon and Little Morongo Canyon systems that carve through the San Bernardino Mountains. A major recreational artery, the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail, snakes through the central and southern portions of the quadrangle, crossing high ridges and passing through Cienaga Seca.
