Pirouette Mtn serves as a prominent landmark on the eastern edge of the Stillwater Range, overlooking the arid expanse of Dixie Valley in Churchill County. This 2014 survey captures a landscape defined by dramatic alluvial fans and ephemeral drainages, including the Dixie Valley Wash and Elevenmile Wash. The topography is etched by several significant canyons, notably Cain Spring Canyon, which contains the namesake Cain Spring, and Slaughter Canyon to the south.
