The Rutherford and Cannon County line bisects the settlement of Readyville, a central hub in this landscape of creek-fed hollows and limestone knobs. The terrain is defined by the winding course of the East Fork Stones River, which receives numerous tributaries including Andrews Creek and McKnight Branch. To the west, Kittrell and Halls Hill anchor a rural road network that includes the long-established Halls Hill Pike and Old Woodbury Pike.
