Wrights Point rises as a distinct, elevated landform above the low-lying wetlands of the Harney Basin in this 2014 survey. The landscape is defined by the intricate distributary network of the Silvies River as it approaches its terminus, branching into the West Fork Silvies River and East Fork Silvies River. This hydrologic complexity is further illustrated by numerous slow-moving channels such as McRae Slough, Boat Ford Slough, and Embree Slough.
