The settlement of Tarsney serves as a central hub, surrounded by a dense network of country schools that once anchored these rural communities, including Stony Point Sch, Tarsney Sch, and Round Grove Sch. Further south, the map reveals the small settlement of Cockrell and the Adams Cem near Buckner Road.

The western edge features the developing shoreline of Lake Lotawana, while several smaller bodies of water like Wildwood Lake and Stanley Lake dot the hills.
