White Area Canyon and the surrounding high desert of Apache County are defined by a complex network of ephemeral drainages and dramatic mesa formations. This 2021 study shows the persistent character of this remote landscape, where the seasonal waters of Hasbidito Cr and the vital White Area Spring serve as the primary geographical anchors. The terrain is marked by the massive presence of Alcove Mesa in the eastern portion of the quadrangle, with elevation changes carefully recorded through modern contour data.
