Williams Coll and the village of Williamstown anchor the western valley where the Hoosic River and Green River converge. This 2015 survey illustrates the academic and residential character of the area, bordered to the north by the Vermont Massachusetts state line and the Bennington and Berkshire county boundary. To the south, the dramatic rise of the Greylock Range culminates at Mt Greylock, the highest point in the state.
