Moorestown serves as the primary hub of this northern Michigan landscape, where the local community is anchored by the Moorestown Cem and the small Moorestown Airpark. The surrounding terrain is defined by an extensive network of wetlands and watercourses, including the massive Dead Stream Swamp and Haymarsh Swamp. These hydrologic features feed numerous tributaries like Addis Cr, Haymarsh Cr, and Big Cannon Cr, which weave through the section lines of the Public Land Survey System.
