Baldy Cinco rises along the border of Hinsdale and Mineral counties, marking a high point in the alpine landscape within the Gunnison National Forest and Rio Grande National Forest. The 2022 survey traces the high-altitude route of the Continental Divide National Scenic Trl as it winds through this wilderness, crossing the broad expanse of Snow Mesa and skirting the edges of Mineral Park. The terrain is defined by a dense network of headwaters including Rough Cr, Miners Cr, and Willow Cr.
