Canyon Ridge and the high summits of the North Cascades define this landscape along the international border with Canada. The high-altitude terrain is marked by numerous alpine basins, including Church Lake and the Damfino Lakes, which feed into the complex drainage system of Canyon Creek and its many tributaries. The southern portion of the sheet is dominated by the North Fork Nooksack River, featuring the landmark Nooksack Falls near the confluence of Wells Creek.
