About this map

The Hadweenzic River meanders across the lower portion of this interior Alaskan quadrangle, its complex network of oxbows and riparian wetlands defining the low-lying drainage within the Yukon-Koyukuk region. In this remote landscape, the terrain transitions from the river valley in the south to significant elevation gains toward the northern sections of the sheet. The Public Land Survey System grid, including boundaries for t25n r2w, t25n r1w, t24n r2w, and t24n r1w, provides the primary structural reference for this largely undeveloped wilderness. This data, compiled from recent hydrography and elevation datasets, records the natural state of the river's path and the surrounding hills before any significant human infrastructure altered the drainage basin.
