The Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail winds through high alpine passes and along dramatic ridges in this 2017 survey of the Cascades. Running along the boundary of Snohomish and Chelan counties, the trail connects several notable high-elevation points, including Dishpan Gap, Wards Pass, and Cady Pass. The terrain is defined by the intersections of three massive protected areas: Mount Baker National Forest, Snoqualmie National Forest, and Wenatchee National Forest.
