The Two Hearted River system dominates this stretch of the Lake Superior shoreline in Luce County. This northern Michigan landscape is defined by its network of water and wilderness access, where the Little Two Hearted River and the East Branch Two Hearted River carve through the forested terrain of T49N and T50N. The presence of the Two Hearted Airstrip and numerous unpaved tracks like Coast Guard Line Rd and Crisp Point Rd reflect the area's history of remote navigation and coastal monitoring.
