The landscape is defined by its water sources, with numerous named desert springs including Mormon Green Springs, Wheeler Camp Spring, and Moonshine Spring scattered along the base of the Sandstone Bluffs. To the east, the terrain rises toward Blue Diamond Hill and Cottonwood Valley.
