The international border along the Rio Grande defines this 1970s survey of the river's Big Bend corridor. Within the protected boundaries of Big Bend National Park, the landscape is marked by the massive Sierra Del Caballo Muerto and the sharp relief of Boquillas Canyon. Cultural and administrative presence is concentrated at Boquillas (Rio Grande Village), where a Ranger Sta, US Customs, and a Boquillas Crossing (Ford) facilitated cross-border movement and park management.
