Kom Kug, Nachi Kulik, and Sapano Vaya are among the scattered settlements that define this arid desert landscape within the Chukut Kuk District. The 2011 survey by the U.S. Geological Survey documents a region reliant on a network of man-made water sources, including Coyote Tank, Saguaro Tank, and Papago Tank. These vital landmarks support life in a terrain carved by ephemeral drainages such as Coyote Wash and Los Encinos Wash.
