Bitterroot National Forest dominates this landscape in western Montana, where the mountains descend into the Bitterroot Valley. Revised in the late 1990s, the map illustrates the complex drainage systems of the Stevensville Ranger District, including the many branches of the North Fork Burnt Fork Creek and South Fork Willoughby Creek. The transition from forest to valley floor is marked by the broad Sunset Bench and the Willoughby Environmental Education Area.
