Stansbury Island dominates the eastern half of this landscape, rising dramatically from the flats of the Great Salt Lake. This high ground is defined by deep incisions such as Corral Canyon and Tabbys Canyon, which drain toward the salt flats and Stansbury Bay. The landform is a significant feature in Tooele County, with its summit marked by The Dome.
