Kings River Valley occupies the eastern portion of this high-desert landscape in Humboldt County, defined by the seasonal flow of the Kings River and the complex hydrography of the Quinn River to the south. The terrain is dominated by the volcanic and tectonic features of the Great Basin, including the Coyote Hills and the eastern edge of the Bilk Creek Mountains.
