The White Pine Range defines this high-elevation landscape in eastern Nevada, where the border between White Pine and Nye counties cuts through steep canyons and prominent summits. Much of the terrain is protected within the Humboldt National Forest, dominated by the towering Currant Mtn and Duckwater Peak. The drainage patterns are clearly marked by the winding course of the White River and the seasonal flow of Currant Cr, which carve through features like Blackrock Canyon and Broom Canyon.
