Dahlonega serves as the focal point of this North Georgia survey, centered on the historic campus of North Georgia Coll and State Univ and the adjacent Mount Hope Cem. The landscape is defined by the significant topographic relief of the Blue Ridge foothills, including the prominent peaks of Three Sisters Mtn and Crown Mtn. To the south of the city, Findley Ridge overlooks the winding course of the Chestatee River, which is joined by numerous tributaries such as Yahoola Cr and Cane Cr.
