The Deadmans Basin Reservoir dominates the high plains of Golden Valley and Wheatland Counties, where water management defines the landscape. Fed by the Deadmans Basin Supply Canal and drained by the Deadmans Basin Outlet Canal, this artificial body of water is a centerpiece for regional irrigation and recreation, supported by the Deadmans Basin Fishing Access Rd. To the south, the Musselshell River meanders through the valley, crossed by the Barber Bridge near the small settlement of Barber. The map also captures the Barber Cem and the prominent rising form of Indian Butte, providing a detailed look at the rural infrastructure and natural landmarks of central Montana in the early 21st century.
