Potters Field lies at the northern edge of this Pinal County landscape, which is defined by a rigorous grid of agricultural and desert roads. The desert floor is carved by the ephemeral paths of the Santa Rosa Wash and Greene Wash, which cut diagonally across the survey area. In the southern reach, the namesake Double Peak rises as a prominent landmark above the surrounding flats.
