Doyle Ridge dominates the central landscape of this Aroostook County survey, which spans the international boundary between the United States and Canada. The northeastern corner captures a portion of the Upper Saint John River Valley, where the Saint John River defines the border. This region is characterized by an extensive network of wetlands and small water bodies, including Hammond Brook Lake, Martin Lake, and Little Black Brook Lake.

A network of rural roads, many bearing family names, suggests a history of local land ownership and timber access. Roads such as Willie Lajoie Rd, Edmond Ouelette Rd, and Albert Cyr Rd crisscross the northern half of the map, while the southern reaches remain largely defined by the drainage of Left Fork Black Brook and Right Fork Black Brook.
