The N Fork Maquoketa River winds through the northwestern corner of this Dubuque County landscape, where the growing community of Dyersville serves as a regional anchor. The terrain is defined by a dense network of secondary roads and trails, notably the Heritage Trl, which follows a former rail corridor southeast toward Farley. This 2022 survey documents the contemporary rural and suburban character of eastern Dubuque County, including the smaller settlements of Worthington and Mekee.
