About this map

Chequamegon National Forest dominates the southern landscape of this northern Wisconsin quadrangle, where a complex network of glacial lakes and wetlands defines the terrain. The settlement of Sutherland sits centrally among these marshes and creeks, while Pike River lies to the northwest along the White River Rd. The area is characterized by numerous small water bodies, including Star Lake, Anodonta Lake, and Cranberry Lake, many of which are connected by seasonal drainages like Hanson Cr and Johnson Cr. In the northern section, the Delta Cem serves as a localized historical landmark near the junction of Co Hwy H. The vast Bibon Marsh occupies the southeastern corner, illustrating the importance of this low-lying hydrological system within the Bayfield County timberlands.
