2014 Map of Gu Oidak

USGS Topo · Published 2014

About this map

Gu Oidak sits at the heart of this landscape, where the seasonal drainage of the Gu Oidak Wash meets the broader expanse of the Gu Oidak Valley. This 2014 survey documents the complex network of desert washes and catchments essential for water management in this arid region. The drainage patterns are clearly defined by numerous named water features, including Murk Kui Wash, San Luis Wash, and Sells Wash. These ephemeral streams are supplemented by man-made or improved natural catchments such as Kuke Chehedagi Tank, Gohke Tank, and Pan Tank. Connectivity across the valley floor is maintained by Bureau of Indian Affairs routes Bia-24 and Bia-31, which parallel the natural terrain of the Sells Valley in the south.
