Bucks Lake serves as the focal point for this section of the northern Sierra Nevada, where the shoreline developments of Bucks Lodge and Haskins Valley provide access to the water's edge at Haskins Bay. The landscape is defined by the steep canyons and ridges of the Plumas National Forest, transitioning from the high peaks of Mt Ararat down to the dramatic descent of the Middle Fork Feather River in the south.
